How can I change my username?

CG Cookie doesn't use usernames anymore. Your name on the site is your first name and last name, and you can change both yourself from your profile page.

Changing your name

1. Click your profile picture at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
2. Choose Profile.
3. Edit the First name and Last name fields.
4. Click Save Changes.

That's it. Your new name shows up across the site, including your community posts and your course completion certificates.

If your name looks wrong after the move

When we moved CG Cookie to its new home we brought your account across with it. A small number of accounts didn't have a first or last name stored on the old site, so those came over with a placeholder instead. If you're currently showing up as something like "Blender Learner," that's why.

Nothing is broken. Follow the steps above and put your real name in.
